Family-Owned and Rooted in the Leavenworth Area
Our connection to this area began long before NW Comfy Cabins became a professional vacation rental management company. For more than 35 years, our family has camped, recreated, explored, and built lasting memories throughout Leavenworth and the surrounding Cascade Mountains.
What began with weekends spent camping on raw land eventually led to the purchase of our first tiny cabin. That little mountain escape became known as Camp David.
As our family grew, we eventually outgrew Camp David and moved on to a larger home called Thyme Out. We kept Camp David, however, so friends and family could continue enjoying the place where so many of our own memories began.
Built from a Genuine Love of This Community
Our company did not begin in a corporate office. It began with a small cabin, weekends in the mountains, and a desire to share the Leavenworth experience with others.
From Weekend Bookings to Professional Management
Our growth has been steady, hands-on, and shaped by nearly two decades of experience caring for homes, supporting owners, and welcoming guests.
Camping on Raw Land
Our story started with simple weekends outdoors—camping on raw land, exploring local rivers and trails, and developing a lifelong connection to the Leavenworth, Plain, and Lake Wenatchee areas.
Our First Tiny Cabin
We purchased the small cabin that would become Camp David, creating a family retreat and our first true home base in the mountains.
Growing into Thyme Out
As our family outgrew the tiny cabin, we moved into Thyme Out while keeping Camp David available for friends, relatives, and guests to enjoy.
Weekend Craigslist Bookings
What began as occasional weekend bookings through Craigslist gradually developed into a growing hospitality operation built on personal communication, clean homes, dependable service, and local knowledge.
A Professional Family Endeavor
Today, NW Comfy Cabins includes the original owner, her adult daughter, and her son-in-law. Together, we have transformed a small family venture into a professional vacation rental management company.
Why We Brought Our Services In-House
Quality is not something we are willing to leave to chance.
Many property management companies rely heavily on outside subcontractors for housekeeping, trash pickup, property inspections, maintenance coordination, and guest support.
As NW Comfy Cabins grew, we recognized that maintaining a consistent standard required more direct oversight, better training, stronger accountability, and faster communication between departments.
2018: A Major Step Forward
In 2018, we began bringing our essential services in-house. This allowed us to protect the quality of what we call the Comfy Experience—the standard of care owners and guests should expect every time they work with NW Comfy Cabins.

Today, we employ more than 20 full-time team members working across housekeeping, trash pickup, maintenance support, inspections, reservations, guest services, owner relations, and office operations.
