We've stayed at Journey's End on Fish Lake a couple times and it's such a delightful small cabin on the lake. Lounging on the dock or on the back deck, surrounded by the trees, hills and lake, watching the different birds feeding and flying just swept us away. The hot tub was just what we needed after daily outdoor activities. Waking on the bed in the loft, we were greeted by a direct view of the lake and trees. It was a magical trip and I hope we return again soon!

We had a really great experience! We booked our stay at Journey\'s End through Airbnb for a party of 4 in early September. It cost us a little over $2k, which was a little more than we would\'ve liked to have paid, but wasn\'t completely outrageous. We wanted a cabin on a fishable lake, so we knew we would have to pay a bit more for that. The check in process was super easy through the Airbnb app- we were given the door code to the main building, which had keys to the exterior unit. There was a gift bag with snacks waiting for us. The kitchen had everything that we would need- pots & pans, cookware, plates, cutlery, etc. There were a bunch of towels and extra blankets if we needed them (which we didn\'t- it was a warm weekend). Wifi was great & streaming a movie on the tv was very fast. The view from the cabin, dock, and hot tub- all just wow! My husband also loved that he could fish from the dock- and yes, we did catch some fish!

I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to soak up nature, relax and regenerate. Sauna and hot tub were awesome. Lay out was perfect. Views were incredible. Had everything you could think of needing. Close to cool towns, but far enough away to feel disconnected which is a huge plus! Everything is perfect here. I would come back in a heartbeat.

Cute cabin with great views and amenities! The hot tub was lovely and the view from the dock is great. 30 minutes from town but it feels short with such a scenic route. We had steaks on the grill and smores over the propane fire pit, relaxed in the hot tub after hikes during the day. Would def stay again!

Our renting process was fabulous. It was very easy and the cabin was a breath of fresh air. The property managers were awesome and on top of all our needs. The only draw back was the mosquitoes. We couldn\'t go outside after dusk. If we had a heads up about the blood suckers we could have prepared better. But everything else was pure heaven.

We had an amazing time at the lake cabin. The views were beautiful and we really enjoyed our time. The cabin is located just far enough from Leavenworth that you can escape the crowds…yet still go enjoy them as you please. Our first night there was a big storm that passed through and we woke up to 6-8” of perfect snow blanket! The cabin is rustic, but suited our needs.

I took our boys here for a week to work from 'home' and remote schooling. We needed a change of scenery in a place that felt like a HOME. It was perfect. We caught a trout and grilled it. We named the otters who swam by playfully every morning. We counted the juvenile eagles. The weekend was extra stressful (understatement) over the weekend with the election and soaking and a sauna helped keep us sane and safe. LOVED IT. Can't wait to come back. With all that joy, the BBQ and fire pit were out of gas so unusable. Bummer.

For years we have stayed at Bear's Den, but when that rental became unavailable we had to find a new place on Fish Lake...and Journey's End fit perfectly.
Great dock on the lake to launch our kayaks from, or just lay back and watch the stars at night, wonderful views from the deck while you are soaking in the hot tub or sitting by the fire. The steam sauna was nice, but I wish there were some other sort of bed in the bunk anyone who provides a futon to sleep on has obviously never slept on one...they are terrible. Perhaps a set of bunk beds would be nice in there (a double bed below and single bed on top?
WiFi was nice to have, TV is fun to set up and stow away, and the kitchen has everything you would want.
It's an easy walk to The Cove taking the back trails, and the neighbors are close but quiet...just how we like it.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will keep booking our summer vacations here while we can.

Climbing up a log stump and standing on a 6 inch wide deck to put the cover on was cumbersome to say the least. The sauna worked perfectly.
There was litter on the slippery trail to the lake.

We had such a lovely time staying in journeys end. The house was very accommodating to just ourselves and more if needed. The place was clean and well stocked with anything we needed, the hot tub is hot and the view of the lake was stunning. As a bonus the sauna was amazing! The proximity to Leavenworth definitely makes it feel like you’re close enough yet far away! We will definitely be staying here again.

What an amazing lakefront cabin in the woods. We were lucky enough to get to visit for a long weekend and stayed in a snow-covered cabin...but the wonderful property had been plowed and shoveled before we arrived. Check-in was easy and the views of the people ice fishing and sledding on the frozen lake made for a picturesque weekend.

Journey's End was the perfect relaxing getaway. We woke up to the best views each morning and ended each evening with a relaxing soak in the hot tub under the stars. We mostly went out to eat, but if you brought food to cook the cabin had all the necessary things to do so, even a great selection of spices. It was very cozy and we will definitely stay again.

This is my 2nd time to come to this cabin, because my husband love fishing I can enjoy sauna and hot tub , cabin was nice and clean , we have a problem our sauna wasn’t heating up and maintenance came like in 10 min and try to help , he figure out and we get our heat back , thank you .

Thank you for your comments. We have posted a sign that helps to explain the simple process of resetting the heater in the sauna. I am pleased that Rush was able to reset that for you quickly but now it should be easier for guests to address any reset quicker and on their own. This place was awesome. We had 4 adults and 2 kids. We fished off the dock, went kayaking and relaxed in the hot tub. We loved the deck and overlooking the dock and had a grill and everything we needed in the kitchen. The only thing that was not cool is mosquitoes, but we had spread and all was good.

Thank you Debra, it is great to hear about your families fun times at the cabin. I have yet to really find a way to embrace the whole existence of mosquitos in any place at any time, I am not sure I can find the silver lining on them, but glad that there are things to repel them! Luckily they are short lived but I think we all share a common dislike for those little monsters. LOL. The birds seem to like them and maybe that is good because there are many lovely birds to enjoy at the lake.

Very great place. My wife and I were looking for a simple place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and this place was perfect for that. We saw bald eagles, amazing sunsets, enjoyed the hot tub and gas fire pit. Would highly recommend! Didn’t realize before we got there that there was a separate building (3rd bed plus bathroom/sauna)

We really enjoyed being right on the water and fishing off the private dock. The hot tub and sauna were a huge hit. The only downfall would be the downstairs bed it very hard and uncomfortable and the shower curtain was covered in mold.

Unlike years past, we spent very little time in Leavenworth because spending time at the cabin was so enjoyable. We took advantage of the sauna, hot tubbed under the stars, spent hours watching birds on the lake and even caught two otters frolicking on the dock in the snow. The cabin has a tv - but honestly, we never needed to watch it - the view was the best entertainment there. We found the bed up in the loft to be quite comfortable - and once you get that fabulous wood stove going - the whole cabin is cozy and warm. This is a very tastefully appointed little cabin - simple and comfortable - with an emphasis on highlighting the lake and the area forests and mountains. Yes, there are neighbors on both sides, but, at least during this time of year, you would never know it - it was quiet and very private. Love, love, love this place - many fond memories from our little weekend in the woods.

Longtime friends and I held a reunion together at this beautiful place. It was great for the three of us and could have held more with the bonus room next to the main cabin. The place had everything we needed and we enjoyed time in the hot tub, sunning on the dock and enjoying the view from the deck. We took nice walks around the wooded neighborhood but mostly we enjoyed hanging out at the house as it was peaceful and beautiful here. Highly recommend.

This cabin is right on the water, and has the most spectacular view. It's pretty perfect for two couples as there is a guest house with a queen bed in it too. It's pretty small and so cozy...the only downside for us was that the entire cabin smelt like burnt wood (which I'm sure some people would love) as there is a wood stove.

My wife and I stayed at this cabin for 2 nights in November. We really enjoyed the lake view and the ammenities. The hot tub is in the back yard right off of the deck with a view of the lake, it was awesome! We also really enjoyed the sauna and the fireplace inside the cabin. The furniture and appliances are pretty old, but everything worked just fine and the cabin is very cozy. The neighbors are also much closer than I expected (I could see into their house if their blinds were open) but we never saw any of them and the neighborhood was extremely quiet. Our only complaint would be that at 10am of our last day, 1 hour before checkout, someone showed up to clean the hot tub. We were thinking about hopping in one last time before we had to leave, but that changed that. It was also kind of awkward to have someone there when we were trying to enjoy our last hour. Other than that, we really enjoyed it and definitely plan on coming back when there is some snow!

The property was secluded from neighbors even though it is very close. We loved the private dock on the lake. The views from the hot tub were spectacular. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub. And a sauna too? Wow. The cabin was well stocked with towels and blankets and even had aminities usually left to hotels like shampoo and soap. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean. Enjoyed the gas fire on the deck. The proximity to The Cove for boat rentals was a plus. We rented a motor boat one day and a pontoon boat the next. We took a couple drives along the Chiwawa Loop Road and River Road. Even took the Chumstick highway into Leavenworth. A nice drive. We just really sat back and relaxed from the jobs and responsibilities back home. We will recommend this place to our friends and relatives. We hope to plan a return trip there soon. I'm sure fall would be a very nice time to be there. Thanks also for the emails while we were there checking if there was anything we needed. It was nice to know someone cared, and it shows in the condition of the cabin and property. Nice quiet neighborhood. And yes, we caught fish!

We've arrived late and wanted to take shower after a long trip. Unfortunately, this was not possible due to the shower water having heavy smell of sulfur (rotten eggs). When we contacted property management, we were told that there isnothing they can do, the water are coming from the well, and that the only thingthat can possibly fix the issue is running the water and hoping the smell will gradually disappear. Just to mention, the shower is attached to the sauna, so not being able to use the shower also makes using the sauna quite problematic. And this was just the beginning... The next morning we wanted to boil some waterfor morning coffee/tea and cook a breakfast, when we discovered that the burnersof the cook top are barely working (1 burner worked fine, the other 3 were either very slow to heat up or were not producing any heat at all). We had to contact property management again, informing them of this issue, and all we heard back was that this is the first time they hear about the problems we are describing. No solutions were offered (like portable cook top,etc.). The water in the shower continued to be very smelly for 2 days, than the odor became a bitlighter so we could take shower the night before our checkout... The only thing we enjoyed was the nature around the property, but this is something you can get in other properties on the Fish Lake (and we stay on this lake a lot, at least 2-3 times a year for several years.)The bottom line is that I will not get back to this property again, since no oneactually tried to solve any of the issues, no partial refund was offered for amenities that were not a side note, amount of dishes in the kitchen that is not equipped with a dishwasher is insufficient (only 4 large tea cups, no large salad bowl at all), so we ended up buying disposable ones...And yes, all the above issues were previously communicated to the property management company, so I guess this feedback doesn't come as a surprise.

It was a nice cabin but every thing was super over grown and it is just a "cabin" surrounded in other houses 5 feet away. The shower when turned on smelled like gas and we couldn't use it. The sauna would only work for about 10 min. Any longer and it would shut off and if you turned it up longer it still wouldn't work. It was a ok place but the other places around were so much nicer then this one. With all the over growth we could not make it down to the dock so I could just look at it.

I will check into the sauna and see if there is a problem and also get out there to check on the shower..I will update when we get them looked at. Thank you, Jeanie 6/17/16 UPDATE: The path to the dock was aggressively cleared, some branches that were down were removed from the property, and the yard is "natural" as the cabin is advertised as "Rustic and Retro inspired" so I apologize it was not as the permanent residents who live in the community full time. We do do our best to advertise the getaways we manage to the best of our ability and will take a look at the description to make sure it does not seem misleading. The Sauna is working fine, the detailed guidelines were in the guest notebook and we have since printed them out, laminated them and put them near the control panel of the sauna so as to avoid any future confusion. Again, cannot thank you enough for your communications and hope to have you back.

Beautiful location with great outdoor space for any weather. Excellent view from jacuzzi or from porch fire pit. Cozy and clean beds; kitchen was well stocked with cooking and coffee needs. We pulled up to the Journey's End cabin rental at dusk and were anxious to relax after a full day of snowboarding at Steven's Pass. We were not disappointed. Although the path to the front door was icy, we quickly unloaded and settled in. I was surprised at the close proximity of the next-door cabin but it turned out to never be a bother. We immediately went to the back deck to check the nice view of frozen over Fish Lake and spied two eagles flying by. The cabin is rustic and comfortable having all of the amenities we expected. Not fancy, but a cabin shouldn't be. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils, pots, pans, etc. and all appliances were in working order. There is WiFi and a Netflix-enabled fold-out TV as well. The separate mother-in-law unit with bedroom and full bath (including a large sauna) was awesome. I spent many hours in the sauna and almost as much time in the hot tub beside the deck. Very relaxing! It was also fun to watch the groups of ice fisherman congregate each morning. Next time we will bring an ice auger and fishing poles! Leavenworth is only a 20-minute drive away and Stevens Pass can be reached in around 30 minutes. Great location and great escape!

Enjoyed an amazing weekend at Fish Lake in this lovely little cabin. Views from all over the cabin or spectacular but sitting out in the hot tub looking out at the lake, we will never forget. Can't wait to come back and see the lake in the summer time. Remind me of a cabin we used to go to as a child and we enjoyed every moment.
