This is a great, cozy little cabin. The description provided is accurate and everything was as expected. -There could have been clearer instructions for the hot tub key’s location as well as the outdoor lights. - It would have made things a bit easier had the instructions for the fireplace been more detailed and if the TV remotes had been labeled. It wasn’t clear which remote did what and the sound bar remote has a separate remote & the labels on the buttons are worn out and illegible. -One last thing to note, the couch and chair in the living area are definitely near the end of their lifespan and should be replaced. The springs/foundation under the cushions are worn out so you sink way down when you sit. However, they weren’t unbearable. Overall our stay was excellent and none of the things mentioned above are by any means dealbreakers, I just wanted the host and owners to know how it could have been better.

Beautiful peaceful cabin. Just what was needed for a relaxing weekend. The cabin was very clean. It is small but has a great layout, and the light colored wood, painted concrete floor, high ceilings, and lots of windows make it feel roomy and cozy at the same time. There were ample supplies in the kitchen, which made cooking and grilling on the patio a breeze. The shower is roomy with two shower heads and so much hot water. The hot tub was clean and hot, and even though there were lots of other cabins around, the whole place felt secluded and private. The only con was that the mattress wasn\'t super comfortable. Woke up a little stiff, but a nice morning soak in the hot tub took care of that real quick. The Painted Pont was an awesome place to stay and I cant wait to go back.

Perfect, Quiet, and Cozy!

Enjoyed a weekend away for my husband\'s birthday. The cabin was perfect; quiet and cozy and the hot tub was nice after a long day. The neighborhood is quiet and the walking trails were nice. The cabin is about 20 minutes from downtown Leavenworth, close enough to explore but nice to not deal with crowds. The cabin is right outside of Plain, WA. First night we ate at the Old Mill Café down the road, food was good and staff were nice. There is a little store nearby too,, but was better to go into town to the local Safeway for groceries. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this cabin or stay here again!

This cozy 2 bedroom cabin was just right for all 3 of us. This cabin is about 30 minutes from downtown Leavenworth and 20 minutes from lake Wenatchee. There are neighbors around but hardly seen them and the trees make the cabin feel private. Would definitely recommend!

This unit did have AC which we didn\'t expect and were very thankful for. Note you are in close proximity to neighbors so just be mindful of curtains if you like your privacy.

It was a 20 minute beautiful drive away from Leavenworth and 2 minutes away from Plain (which was so nice to grab a couple groceries). As we were driving to the cabin we were getting a little worried about being in a \'neighborhood\', but were pleasantly surprised with the amount of privacy! It felt like we were in the woods. We couldn\'t recommend this cabin enough - stay here!

We stayed at the painted pony cabin for my graduation weekend and it was one of the only locations remaining. I was open to exploring something a little out of town from Leavenworth, and we were certainly delighted by the photos of this cabin. Let me just tell you that the cabin does not disappoint, as it is located in Plain, a little community about 30 minutes from Leavenworth. It is a beautiful drive with wineries along the way! The cabin itself has a great hot tub with a little privacy that comfortably fits four, but is super comfortable for two. The cabin was perfect for 2 couples and two dogs. We enjoyed the well appointed kitchen for baking take and bake pizzas from Plain, and the refrigerator had lots of ice trays in the freezer. The bathroom shower was very tall with good pressure, but just know that the shower has only one operational shower head- totally suffice! Moreover, we didn’t see any neighbors even though we can see their neighboring structures, and we had a wonderful bonfire- a giant fire pit! Which was legal to do so this time of year. We drank the local wine and played Yatzee on the picnic table; I think I’d recommend to bring your own picnic table cloth. Overall I give this place five stars, and I slept so great on the memory foam mattresses. We will definitely come back to the cabin, and enjoy more properties in the wooded neighborhood of Plain.

Very comfortable cabin in a neighborhood near Leavenworth. It is small, but exactly as I thought it would be when we booked it. So that wasn't a surprise. I think the only thing that was irritating was you could not turn on the bathroom light without turning on the fan and that fan is loud. We really enjoyed our snowmobiling experience which was really close by. We would definitely stay again 🙂

We loved our stay! Had some issues with the rental company in the beginning but otherwise smooth sailing. I will say I was disappointed that the property was listed as having beds for 5 people as it had a Queen, a full, and a windowsill with a pad on it that they considered a “twin.” The door was hard to open and needs some improvements. The ottoman in the living room is very worn out. Bonus, the couch is fantastic and works as an additional bed! Would have also been need to have a dishwasher for the price of the rental. We would stay again but the value for the cost could certainly be improved.

Lovely cabin/house, appears to be newer construction, well built, well laid out, well stocked kitchen, centrally located to lots of activities in the area. We didn't want our trip to end, we'd love to come back in the winter sometime. Two suggestions for future renters/for the owners: (1) This property is located in the Ponderosa community outside of Plain, it's not particularly remote or private. If you're seeking privacy, this might not be the best choice. That wasn't made prominent on the marketing materials. (2) The mattress in the right hand bedroom (the queen bed further from the bathroom) is pretty soft. It was OK, but would be improved with a firmer mattress upgrade. Neither of these are a big deal, we had a fabulous time at this property and were perfectly satisfied, these are just suggestions. Also, a small discrepancy came up in the billing, the property manager was very prompt, courteous, and accommodating in adjusting it. Much appreciated!!

The cabin was very clean and spacious. The hot tub was nice and clean. The BBQ worked great. The fire pit was great too! The only con I have is that the patio is flagstone and holds a lot of tree droppings. You end up dragging a lot in to the cabin on your feet. This area being tended to before visits and a blower for guests to use to clean off this area throughout their stay would be nice.

Upon first arrival the cabin was beautiful. The set up was amazing. The positive of everything was we were close to town but still able to enjoy the quiet of being in nature. The cons and bout the place was the fire place was hit and miss for working. There was no DVD remote to play or select things on the DVD player. Also we were not notified ahead of time about the fire pit being off limits. But over all it was an amazing stay.

Thank you for your comments. The fire place will not stay on when the temp in the house gets too warm, it has a thermostat and is designed to turn off at a warm inside temp. and sadly, with all the fires that take place in our area, there are no outdoor fires allowed unless you are in the state park. We are trying to get a propane firepit for that property, all of our others do have that option so that guests can enjoy a fire year round. As for the remote, we will search for that as it was certainly there and that would be frustrating for sure. I an sending that to the cleaning staff to search for, right now.

The cabin is really nice. The kitchen has most everything you'd need to cook. The grill is a nice feature, even though we were there over Christmas. Our doggies loved the area too! It's also right near the river, so a summer trip might be in order. The electric fireplace (the only real adjustable form of heat) Didn't function normally, so we were chilly often. Also, the cabin was not cleaned very well. The silverware all had dried food splattered all over, so we had to wash everything in the kitchen before using it (without a Dishwasher.) But the cabin itself is nice. I Don't fault the owners for the poorly cleaned condition. Although for as much as we paid for cleaning fees, I was Pretty disappointed with the cleanliness (and We're certainly not "clean freaks."

I am so grateful for your comments but very sad to hear that the previous guests put away dishes that were not properly cleaned. We do ask our cleaners to check on that and will remind them of this situation and follow up to be certain that is not a repeat situation. The owners have added some additional portable heaters so that when a guest accidentally turns down the heated floors, there is another way to quickly get the cabin warm until the radiant heat gets things cozy. Despite our most concerted efforts, we do experience a miss from time to time of a cleaning issue that might need more attention, but the quality of our cleaning is paramount, as we see it as one of the most important aspects of the whole experience. We sincerely hope that you will come back and take advantage of our return guest discount and enjoy a truly Comfy getaway.

The inside was finished with pine and smelled great. It was hard to tell it was pet friendly because there was no negative evidence of animals having been there! The cabin was immaculate, linens were fresh and the place was comfortable. I have been to Leavenworth several times. I’ve never been to Plain, the area the cabin is in. It was a bit of a windy drive especially at night. I didn’t realize it was 30 minutes away from Leavenworth, but that’s on me.

I am so happy our cleaners hard work was noticeable. They are a really great crew and do work extremely hard to be sure all of our guests are comfortable in a clean environment. That is a big part of our promise to our guests and one that requires a lot of dedication, so it means a lot to hear that they have done well. I will pass this along to them. They so often hear of mistakes and not always the thank you for that. The Plain area is a bit of a drive to town but really is a nice drive. Thank you so very much for sharing and we hope to have you back.

The stay was fine, accommodations were nice. Wifi and/or Cell reception would have made it a bit more convenient. There was a lot of dog feces around the edges of the property, that made walking around a bit challenging.

We are so happy to hear that you had a wonderful stay. We have notified yard maintenance who will take care of those dog leavings. We do ask that our guests take responsibility to clean up after their own pets but unfortunately that is not always the case. We look forward to having you stay with us again!

We had our 21st girls weekend here. The neighbors were so welcoming and invited us to a party! LOL the hot tub was wonderful! The cabin was so beautiful and well done. I wouldn't market the heated floors as it' takes a day to warm up lol But i would would go back to this cabin in a minute! Beautiful area and people. A bit of confusion booking the initial reservation through but the people at the Painted cabin rental property made it right.

We had a great stay at this property. The pictures give a very good idea of what you can expect. The house was very clean and so was the yard. It is not secluded or overly private but this was not a concern for us but something to keep in mind. The house has all the necessities but is not as well stocked as some of the other properties we have rented. The weather was hot (35*C) and the property does not have A/C which made sleep a little tricky. There was ample parking and hot tub was great. Overall a great place in a nice location.

Cabin had everything we needed.Cabin sleeps 5 but one of the beds is actually a window seat converted to a bed. Great for a child but not an adult. There are several nearby cabins, but the outside area is situated in a way that provides you some privacy. Had such a great experience we rented a larger cabin for the upcoming weekend so we could bring our adult children. Nice to find such great cabins that our also dog friendly. Our Golden Retriever was in heaven.

We brought our 3 kids ages 1-6 yo. It was the first major snowfall for the area and the kids were in love at first sight! The cabin is beautifully crafted a perfect fit for our family of 5. The area was quiet and peaceful. A short drive to downtown Leavanworth. And a grocery store just a few minutes down the road.
