Beautiful cabin and location. The host was very proactive in their communication and instructions for getting there, parking, getting in the cabin, and how to leave the cabin before checking out. The kitchen and related amenities (microwave, oven, pots, pans, various cooking supplies) are a bit dated but got the job done. We will be coming back again in the future, hopefully this summer so we can see the lake when it’s not frozen :).

OMG!!!! THE VIEWS!!!

OMG!!!! This place is so peaceful and relaxing, it\'s quite literally everything you need. 1. It\'s not far from Leavenworth 2. It has all the amenities you could want in a space like this: a fire pit, a bbq grill, a hot tub, a dock on the water...just missing a washer and dryer. 3. You\'re not in a secluded area by any means but the tranquility of the lake + the kind neighbors sure give that feeling. 4. Last but not least, THE VIEWS!!! Unreal views inside with all the windows and even better ones when you go outside. Perfect deck to spend slow mornings sipping coffee on the deck listing to the sound of the water. I\'ve posted this place on my insta and have tons of people who asked for the link and want to book already so book before it gets all booked up!

Doc Roy\'s place was so cozy and we couldn\'t take our eyes off of the view of the lake - spent blissful hours just sipping coffee in front of the fire or in the wonderful hot tub, watching the ducks and otters. The ladders to the two sleeping lofts got easier to navigate as the weekend passed, but could definitely be challenging for the very young or older folks. The kitchen and bathroom were clean and well appointed, we cooked almost every meal in during our stay. Downtown Leavenworth is a good 30 minutes away, but the drive is beautiful. Overall a delightful stay!

Best Honeymoon Location Ever!

What a gorgeous place! Located on a lake with little to no public access. The houses are close together but the view overlooks the drawback of the neighbors. Plus, this place is QUIET! There is a portable AC unit and multiple fans to keep cool during the summer months. I will definitely be coming back!

The cabin sits right along the water with incredible views from both the inside and outside - located on a charming and quiet street surrounded by trees and other cute cabins. It feels very safe and cozy, and I honestly can’t remember another time in my life when I could close my eyes and experience complete silence. Really amazing! The kitchen has everything you need including pots and pans of all sizes, an electric tea kettle, toaster, mixing bowls, plenty of plates and bowls, cooking spices, and a surprise bag of pancake mix! The space is filled with comfortable furniture and soft blankets, a smart TV, board games, and a wood stove all which create the coziest atmosphere. The cabin is a short 25 minute drive to Leavenworth and there is a small local market (Midway Grocery) a few minutes down the road that you can find all the essentials. There is also a very nice covered hot tub that sits right on the dock! Great experience overall, and would highly recommended for anyone wanting a relaxing getaway near the mountains.

Had a great weekend. Everything we could have needed. Great jump off point to all the local areas. As per some previous reviews, make sure to bring your own water (it is a little smelly and has a mineral aftertaste) and if you do not like being woken up with the sun, bring an eye mask (many of the windows have no blinds/curtains). We never had to deal with property management, but I dropped a star due to the fact that the house manual was very generic to relate to all of their properties and it would have been useful to know how specific things worked for this property.

This is a beautiful, clean, cozy little place with a great deck, complete with tables, bbq, and a hot tub looking out to the lake. Watch the ospreys dive to catch fish! Plan to be on the deck with your morning coffee and be prepared for the winds to pick up in the afternoon. Only caveat is that the bathroom is a little cramped if you're tall. Communication was great, check in was easy--be sure to follow their recommendation to download information before you arrive, as the signal is spotty.

My husband and I absolutely loved this little cabin! It was cozy, clean, just as advertised, and the hot tub with lake views was unbeatable! It was super easy to find and the hosts were communicative. It really was such a special weekend and we can't wait to come back (we're already planning it)!

There was some hair and dried coffee splashes behind the bed on the window seal. This wasn't a huge deal to us and easy to wipe up real quick, but just wanted to pass it on as an FYI. Other than that, the house was spotless.

For the price that we paid (>$1600 for 3 nights) we definitely expected 5 stars amenities and services. I understand we were up charged due to the holiday but even then it was still too pricey. Check in and out is easy because you are provided with a code and do not need to call/meet anyone. However we found that the instructions were too minimal and created difficulty. For example we had no idea where to park our car. We arrived in the dark and with several inches of snow on the ground and there were no signs telling us where to park. The property wasn’t spotless neither. I see several hairs on blanket, couch and the stairs. Also there were a sign saying guests have to wash their own dishes, which I do not mind but are you telling me that these dishes weren’t cleaned by staff after previous guests left? Because they definitely weren’t clean. I saw forks still have food on them. The cabin’s general condition was average. Couch looked very old and we didn’t want to get comfy on it to watch movies from their TV. We ended up watching movies on our ipad on the bed. The bathroom was so awkward. The shower is tiny! Shower head was way too low even for a 5 foot 4 small female. Overall the stay was average. I would come back if they charge me 1/3 of the price but definitely not more.

Thank you Anh for your feedback, it is much appreciated. This "rustic" little cabin is advertised as such and I am sorry if that was not clear. The holiday rate was indeed premium and the rates do alter daily throughout the year. Ironically we have since added a sign to the property to show the designated parking space for our guests, hopefully that will be a welcome addition. There is no D/W at this cabin and so we do asks guests to wash dishes prior to their departure and the hospitality staff is to pull a few random things for checks when turning the cabin over so I am passing this on to the supervisor to address the cleaner who cleaned prior to your arrival as a reminder. The couch is just a couple of years old and the bathroom is noted as: Ship size shower and toilet space in the bathroom so I apologize if that got missed. We love all of the suggestions/feedback we get from our guests at NW Comfy Cabins so thank you again for sharing and hopefully you will consider one of our other 50 properties as we may have one that is a better fit for you. Very nice,quite neighborhood. Cabin rustic and cozy. The outside deck was extremely dirty, rat poop on railing, outside furniture really dirty, and outside of hot tub was so dirty we didn’t even touch! even the tub steps! The lake was so full of algae we could not swim or wade to cool off. But if you want quite this is the cabin.

You access it with a sturdy ladder but the location at the top of the A frame doesn't leave much room to stand up as you exit the bed. You need to scoot to the foot of the bed to stand up. There is a hideabed downstairs. We are 60- somethings and had no problem.

Was a very pleasant stay at the lake. Perfect size for a couple to spend a romantic vacation at. The bed was comfy and had a nice view of the lake. The bathroom/shower is a bit small, but not enough to be a hindrance.
The mosquitos were the only real annoyance, and that was only while we were in the hot tub (we lit one of the citronella candles that were provided, but some of the mosquitos persisted).

Rain and wind the entire trip. Only caught 3 fish despite fishing for 16 hours total. the Cabin was ok, the bathroom was extremely small. the Trip really did not meet our expectations, in fact we left a day early.

This cabin was a perfect oasis for a weekend. Coffee was provided and we enjoyed it on the deck with an amazing view of the forest across the lake. The cabin was clean and comfortable, there were plenty of fresh towels. The location is not far from Leavenworth and we spent some time dining there and enjoying the parks. The loft we slept in was cozy, with a gorgeous view. Our only regret was not using the hot tub. We will be returning to this cabin in the future. Next time we plan to dock our canoe for some paddling around the lake.

We came up to Fish Lake to celebrate Thanksgiving and we had a wonderful time in this quaint and quiet cabin! I was not disappointed - from the easy road access to the awesome views from the cabin, to the private hot tub. We found everything we needed to cook a fine dinner. Even though the cabin is small, it doesn't feel small. I noticed a review at booking from visitors who had trouble with the bathroom. I found the bathroom large, but the toilet is tucked away next to the shower (offering privacy?). It could be a tight fit for some people ... it's wider than an airplane bathroom, but maybe not a whole lot larger. It was fine for us. I loved the loft sleeping area, warm and cozy with a wall of windows, waking up to mist floating on the lake. I'll be back, next time to ski!

Both the cabin and view are absolutely stunning. My wife and I loved being able to explore Leavenworth during the day and coming back to relax in the hot tub and take in the view of the lake. We built a fire in the wood stove that made the place extra cozy. I can only imagine how magical it would be when it starts to snow. We had no issues with the bathroom as one of the previous reviews said, I am 6'-5" with broad shoulders and had no issue using the restroom.

Both the cabin and view are absolutely stunning. My wife and I loved being able to explore Leavenworth during the day and coming back to relax in the hot tub and take in the view of the lake. We built a fire in the wood stove that made the place extra cozy. I can only imagine how magical it would be when it starts to snow. We had no issues with the bathroom as one of the previous reviews said, I am 6'-5" with broad shoulders and had no issue using the restroom.

First I would like to say that the property description is somewhat accurate, the sleeping loft was well described to warn of the possible difficulties but one thing they don't mention is the toilet area. The bathroom has been remodeled recently and if you are any wider than average you will not be able to use the toilet. I am 5'11" and weigh 200lbs. and could sit on the toilet but it was not easy. This place should not be rented to the public, if you are wide bodied at all you will have to drive for awhile to find a bathroom or beg the neighbors to use there bathroom. We also had to sweep and clean for half an hour upon arriving and left the place spotless but still paid $115 for cleaning.The television has a remote that does not work,they have instructions on how to use it but that is for a different remote, we got it to work after finding the buttons on the back of the tv.They have a mishmash of plug in heaters that work but how about spending some money on safer units that are actually wired to the house? We stayed at another location the previous 2 nights that was spectacular , I gave it 5 stars,and it cost half as much , so I also think this place is way overpriced for what you get. My wife and I are very experienced Air BnB users and have stayed all over the world and this place is one of the worst I have stayed at value wise ,obviously we won't be back

It is certainly not the experience that our guests have reported to us over the years and most people have loved this cabin for exactly what it is. A very simple and 'cabiny' cabin on a beautiful lake surrounded by exquisite views, private dock and hot tub. Not all cabins are the same for sure (which is why the video and photos are so helpful), that is truly a part of the joy of renting personal private properties. We do try to explain all features and quirks so that our guests can choose what works for them and be clear on the features and amenities of each property. The bathroom is a small one and your assessment is your own and I cannot speak to that other than to say than to disagree respectfully as I am a larger person than you described and do not feel that way in the least. It is small but not at all something I have trouble using or would need to go elsewhere. We will certainly look over the listing to be sure it is well described so that no one else is disappointed in that aspect. We sincerely hope that you will decide to book with us directly to save the mark up from AirBNB and use the return guest discount. You WILL save a significant amount by booking directly and that price may seem more reasonable when you realize the mark up aspect has been removed. It is confusing and there are many things that are difficult to understand and choosing what platform to rent through, but you will save by booking direct and sometimes that has a bit impact on what expectations you might have. Washington is absolutely beautiful and this cabin only added to it. The lake views were impeccable. We loved waking up every morning to a view of the water and being able to head right down to the dock to fish. The hot tub on the balcony was a nice added touch. I highly recommend this place. The Price performance ratio was not right for us. It's a Wonderful place on Fish Lake, but the House was average.

Possibly you might enjoy one of the many other cabins available on our website. Some are far larger and some much fancier, but few are as quaint and simple with all the personality and 'cabin' feel as Doc Roy's. Thankfully we really do have something for all tastes and points of view, which is why we use both video and still photos to detail the properties to guide guests in selecting the best options. They are not cookie cutter so we strive to be very transparent and provide well detailed information to showcase the variety we are fortunate to offer. Things I didn't like: The water smelt terrible, I know it's well water but it was nauseating. The pillows on the couch were very well used and broken in, looked unkept. We had to wash pots to use because they were dirty. A melted spatula was left with clean utensils they made them sticky. There were anniversary cards left from prior guest on a book shelf that wasn't organized and messy. The deck was covered with pine needles. The hot tubs jets were weak. Most of the light bulbs were burn out and it was darker then we like. Im only complaining because they charge a cleaning fee. Other then that, the bed was comfy, dock was lovely, even though bird poo took up a spot to sit on the step down. Great area, great view.

Wonderful cabin, very quiet neighborhood. The lake and dock by far the best part to relax on. Close to Leavenworth but far enough away for peace and quiet. Great location for our anniversary. I would definitely recommend to others planning a trip to Leavenworth area.

We had a relaxing time at Doc Roy's Legacy. The cabin is cute and comfortable. We brought our kayak and put it right in the lake off the dock and enjoyed all the eagles, other birds and fish jumping.
I do not remember reading anything about the well water so luckily we did bring our own drinking water and there is only bar soap provided for toiletries so pack accordingly 🙂

This was exactly what the lady and I were looking for! Quiet, cozy, beautiful scenery... great hot-tub and a short driving distance to Leavenworth! Everything was perfect.

Only thing I'd recommend: fix the shower temperature knob, pretty touchy getting the right temp, and hang some hooks for towels out by the hot-tub (unless I missed them?) ... 🙂

We are definitely looking forward to coming back soon ... during the snowy-season. Great spot, well kept... easy to find and very reasonably priced.

We had 18" of snowfall overnight and the roads were cleaned and safe. We heard about some friends that stayed in a different cabin and had to go home due to power failure. We were grateful for no issues, working heaters and a wood burning fireplace. We will definitely come back!

This is a classic VRBO place, an absolute gem. Perfect for a couple alone or with a few kids. The setting on the lake is beautiful. The communication from the property manager was perfect, check in was a breeze (lock code sent day of) and everything was as or better than described. This is a classic VRBO place, an absolute gem. Perfect for a couple alone or with a few kids. The setting on the lake is beautiful. The communication from the property manager was perfect, check in was a breeze (lock code sent day of) and everything was as or better than described. Driving into the property was beautiful. Just the beginning of fall and the colors were so vibrant! Upon arrival we were immediately enchanted by the cabin setting with the lake directly behind. We had a relaxing time at Doc Roy's Legacy. The cabin is cute and comfortable. We brought our kayak and put it right in the lake off the dock and enjoyed all the eagles, other birds and fish jumping.

We had a relaxing time at Doc Roy's Legacy. The cabin is cute and comfortable. We brought our kayak and put it right in the lake off the dock and enjoyed all the eagles, other birds and fish jumping.

If you are looking for quiet and don't need luxury this place is great. Just remember, it is a cabin. Bring your own water, the well water smells like sulfur. Reminded me of N. Dakota water. Keep your food off the counters at night(mice come looking for scraps). After all, it is a cabin in the woods not a 5 star hotel. If you are older, the sleeping arrangement could be precarious. Especially if you have to get up in the night. The view from the deck in the morning with a cup of coffee w/o phone and wifi makes it worth a return trip.

While the property mgrs do a good job and give phone numbers to call if you need assistance, bear in mind you will need to drive someplace to find a phone or cell reception.

Thank you Alan for taking sharing your review. We have gotten your feedback and wanted to be sure to reply with updates. Doc Roy's is a rustic cabin albeit, but we do address and take care of anything that is brought to our attention. :O) Good news is the cabin just got WI-FI so our guests are not only able to stream entertainment from their devices for entertainment but it should help in allowing our guests to switch their smart phone devise to WI-FI calling so their ability to call in and out from the property is successful. The water sulfur smell unfortunately comes and goes and is very intermittent and can be affected by the weather, so we do advise our guests to bring water with them just in case this is an issue for them, there is also a Britta in the fridge for guests use. Pest control has been contacted and setup too, as chipmunks, birds, mice, raccoons and sometimes bears feel it necessary to visit our local homes, and join our guests during their stay, but I assure you we are always doing our best to make sure they don't. :O) Pest control will be out in the next couple of days to get on them. We are so glad you were able to genuinely enjoy the "cabin" atmosphere of Doc Roy's as it truly is a rustic little cabin on the lake, and that view is spectacular with that morning cup of joe or that evening glass of wine. The cabin is amazing! The location is stunning! Hot tub was great. We would definitely come back! Unfortunately we could not figure out how to open the flu on the chimney and got blasted with smoke while the cabin was only 40 degrees. Also you need to bring your own fire starting equipment there was no kindling, no paper wrapped fire logs, and the lighter was empty. We did not contact management about the fire because we had no cell service.

This is a great cabin for a couple. Great location, very clean and elegantly rustic. Something that I would improve on, small but just a thought is a little more cooking utensils. We just loved the property it was not too far away easy to find and we found the rental agents all to be very helpful and easy to work with in fact even checked on us halfway through our stay which I thought was so kind and even texted us back on a Sunday. As with anything there's always pros and cons -we found the cabin even nicer than the pictures! Like other reviewer's the bathroom made good use of space but it is very tight in the actual bathroom area and shower but we were happy to have them. The bed as pictured is in the upper A-frame and that didn't work for us I didn't feel like going up and down a ladder worked well and my husband is tall - just didn't work but we just slept downstairs and it's clear online that's where the bed is - we were expecting it. We stayed in a particularly hot weekend and loved that there was a very nice ceiling fan windows that had screens as well as two other fans to keep it nice and cool We love the dock and the privacy although you do look out near neighbors they went above and beyond to make it private. We love the hot tub and used it more than I even thought possible there's a small fire pit we didn't use but would be really nice on cooler evenings. We wish it had more of a barbecue than just a grill that was hard to clean propane would've been much better but understand there are fire codes We did not understand that it's a non-swimming lake it's really not safe to swim in but enjoyed fishing on it and it's no problem because a beautiful state park is literally two blocks away Overall we loved our stay. If recommend bringing lots of food with you we did not find anything in the area to 'pick up' and didn't find the BBQ usable so bringing some easy food options is nice unless you head into Leavenworth.

This trip was my second stay booked through NWCC. This was my first visit to Doc Roy's cabin. I had a very enjoyable weekend visit. The greater Leavenworth, Plain, Lake Wenatchee area has quickly become my favorite place to be in WA. So I was already familiar with the Fish Lake area.

The cabin was clean and had pretty much everything a couple or small group could want to get away from the busy city life. The lake and surrounding scenery was amazing and beautiful. Nice tv and blu-ray player. The hot tub was nice and clean and ready for use. The deck is quite large considering the small cabin and a great place to enjoy the view in the comfy lounge chairs provided. The private dock is also a very nice spot to just have a front row seat on the lake and watch the fishing boats drift by and the bald eagles soar.

The only complaint would be an unpleasant smell that came from the water and or drains when water was ran. Aparantly there was a situation with the community well at the time of my visit. Having said that I would absolutely make a return visit to the quiet peaceful little cabin on Fish Lake.

Bed is not a king. It's two twins. The middle was very uncomfortable; felt like metal between the 2 of us. Might well have been the most uncomfortable bed either.

This was a great getaway - saw some eagles and hawks, the deck was huuuuuge and has an awesome feel and view. The toilet area is a bit cramped for a husky dude like me but that was about the only drawback. Great place to stay, it has a secluded feel and it's a quick scenic drive into Leavenworth

The Doc Roy's Legacy is one of our favorite places to stay on Fish Lake, it is definitely one of a kind. The toilet is a little narrow but we are glad to hear it did not keep you from having a great time. C

This cabin was a terrific find! The loacation feels so remote but it was easy to find and conveniently located. Spent the most time relaxing in the sun on the dock taking in the AMAZING views and catching plenty of nice sized trout. Cabin layout was a great use of space and the lofted bedroom felt magical. Views from the entire cabin were incrediblly peaceful. The only thing that could of made the stay more enjoyable would be a thick mattress topper but I will definately come back to this place!!

It was nice. All was well.
Couple little things: no logs by the fire (I found them in the scary dark loft :); it was unclear if I could park where I parked because the snowplowed spot was between this unit and the (large and quite nice) home next door (I parked there anyway).

The cabin on fish lake is just the right size for two people. The king mattress is located in one of the lofts, with a ladder to climb, so not ideal if you have trouble climbing ladders. There was a triangle shaped window in the loft at the head of the bed with screens that we kept open each night, so felt like we were in a tent which we loved. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals. Leavenworth is a short 20 miles away and a beautiful drive. The water at the cabin had a strange sulfur smell, so we went to a local grocery store and purchased water for drinking. We felt like we were in the movie "the great outdoors" the entire time we were there.
There was a clever little squirrel who decided to wake us up every morning launching pine cones from the pine tree located through the deck onto the deck and roof, which sounded like rocks hitting the house! The cones would pile up on the deck and he would feast all day. We saw eagles, otters, a family of grouse that walked through the yard each day. The next door neighbor, an older couple, were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the dock and a swim in the lake. The cabin is in a small neighborhood with a couple dozen houses, and is very quiet. We spent most of our time in the relaxing zero gravity chairs, sitting on the deck enjoying the view. There is very weak cell service and no wifi, so it was a great escape from our busy work lives. We loved the rustic feel of the cabin and the view of the lake. We would definitely return.
