Fall is spectacular in Leavenworth, with its vibrant colors of red, yellow and orange adorning our picturesque landscape. It is nothing short of magnificent as you drive down the Tumwater Canyon or through the Lake Wenatchee/Plain area to our quaint little Bavarian Village to enjoy the annual Autumn Leaf Festival. Stay with NW Comfy Cabins as you take the time to explore these popular eye-catching natural wonders and immerse yourself in the festivities offered by Leavenworth’s very first festival. Don’t forget the camera, some of the best places to get that “shot” are some of the pull offs along Hwy 2 down the Tumwater Canyon where you will find yourself joined by others who are also in awe of the kaleidoscope of colors that blanket our majestic mountains and embrace the strength of the Wenatchee River.
The Autumn Leaf Festival has something for everyone. Live music, food, and fall-themed fun for visitors and locals alike. The Grand Parade is the festival’s main event and features spectacular floats, the Grand Marshall riding on a stagecoach, Bavarian dancers, and more. The parade starts Saturday September 28th at noon so be sure to bring your chairs and grab a spot street side for this fun family event.
Some other things you can enjoy are:
- The Royal Lady Display
- Inflatables and Rock Climbing
- Kiddie Parade
- Food Booths
- Drill Team Competition
- Rose Planting
- Live Music
- Car Show
The Festival and its activities start on Saturday September 28th, 2019 and run through Sunday September 29th, 2019.
If you cannot make it over to the festival and still want to come over and enjoy the change of seasons, the colors are most dynamic between mid/late Septemer-mid October as the leaves reach their peak, this is determined by the weather conditions.
There are so many great hiking trails, bike trails, and natural wonders in our area to stop and visit to get some incredible breathaking photos and to share in some special moments with your loved ones.
We look forward to you staying with us at NW Comfy Cabins and having the opportunity to breathe in this annual phenomenon.
