Travel Insurance

NW Comfy Cabins is not responsible for unforeseen events such as weather, road closures, power outages, wildfires, poor air quality, flight cancellations/delays, or other Acts of God that may interrupt or cancel a trip. This also includes situations like illness or death in the family, car troubles, etc. Refunds will not be provided within 30 days of the scheduled arrival date. To safeguard against such circumstances, we strongly recommend that travelers purchase the Generali Travel Insurance plan that we offer.

The Generali Travel Insurance plan can be purchased up to 48 hours prior to your arrival, but it is advisable to do so as early as possible. Once a storm or other unforeseen event occurs, it is too late to obtain coverage. Please refer to the policy PDFs provided below for a detailed explanation of the benefits.

It is essential to recognize that we have a contractual and financial responsibility to our homeowners regarding your stay. Purchasing the Generali Travel Insurance benefits all parties involved, ensuring protection for your travel investment. It can be disheartening when external factors affect a long-awaited trip, but it is even more stressful when your travel funds are at risk due to the lack of protection through the Generali policy.

Guests are responsible for being aware of weather patterns in our seasonal topography and ensuring they have the appropriate vehicle for winter travel.

Optional Travel Insurance is available for each reservation, with the price varying depending on the total booking cost. The Generali Travel Protection: Vacation Rental Insurance covers prepaid, non-refundable expenses due to unforeseeable circumstances, including flight cancellations, road closures, trip delays, medical emergencies, illness, or death in the family. Separate terms and conditions apply, as outlined in the Description of Coverage/Policy below. For specific coverage questions, please contact Generali at (866) 999-4018.

By declining the coverage, guests acknowledge that they have been informed of the availability of Travel Insurance at the time of booking and are willing to assume the risk of losing the monies paid for their contracted dates.
