Had a small group of ski racers for a mid-week event at Stevens Pass ski area. Perfect location, 25 min to the area, close to a few good restaurants and a grocery store. We enjoyed a lovely stay in this cabin in early January. The neighborhood is an easy walk into Plain for groceries, rentals, cafe . . . The cabin is absolutely lovely. Our family of 4 had plenty of space. I loved reading in the chairs upstairs in the loft with the view. My husband enjoyed sitting by the fire and cooking in the spacious kitchen. My boys enjoyed having their own rooms and the enormous TV in the basement where we enjoyed a movie each night after spending some time in the hot tub and looking at the stars. We’ve been to Plain several times and stayed in a different cabin each time. This was our favorite. We will be back! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

We enjoyed our stay at Peterson Acres! The home was quite and comfortable and conveniently located to all of our planned activities. The reason we stayed here is because we were visiting with our Labrador and needed the pet friendly accommodations and convenient location. The home is only about 5 minutes from Leavenworth Ziplines and the cute little town of Plain where there is a little restaurant and small store for the things you may have forgotten. What I didn’t know and think may help others is that the home is only about 27 minutes to the Leavenworth Adventure Park. You can travel via SR-207 to US-2 or you can take the Chumstick Hwy for a change of scenery. The property does not have an enclosed fence so either keep your pet leashed or have a solid and reliable recall. We tried to be extremely courteous neighbors by driving slowly on the short gravel driveway to not offend neighbors and kept our dog quiet and contained. The hot tub was a nice treat at the end of a busy weekend.

Great for Stargazing!

I know the area so intentionally picked this location 5 minutes from Lake Wenatchee, a few minutes away from Plain convenience stores, and a scenic 20-minute drive from Leavenworth.

Unlike other available houses in the woods or on top of each other, this one is set in a field with wide views, great stargazing, less bugs, and the neighboring houses, although fully visible are a good distance away.

The house was attractive, functional, and very clean, including the hot tub. Not that we cared, the deck was worn but fine. It would have been helpful if there were instructions regarding the climate control, lighting, speakers, and televisions.

Absolutely perfect place!

Absolutely perfect place! We would definitely stay there again. Loved the location. Drivable into Leavenworth, but we loved that it was a little outside. Close to Lake Wenatchee State Park, and close to the Leavenworth zip lines. It exceeded our expectations.

Great house, clean and comfortable, it is about 25 minutes away from Leavenworth, but the amenities and coziness make up for the drive. The propane fire warmed up fast on the cold morning we were there. Lots of room and very well stocked kitchen.

The fireplace, outdoor propane fire pit and hot tub were great amenities. The basement of the home is a bit chilly, but space heaters were provided and worked great within the downstairs bedrooms. We would stay here again!

The house is remotely located quietly a bit far from Leavenworth except for the Lake Wenatchee. We really enjoyed our time here except that the hot tub didn't warm up after the first day. Wish the TV was located on the main floor. Overall, the point of this trip is to get away from the city and enjoy what PNW has to offer. I would definitely come back here again !

We booked the Chiwawa River Cabin which was perfect for our family of four. Cozy, clean, quiet and comfortable. It had everything we needed. On day 2 we had a plumbing problem. Justin was super responsive, moved us to a new cabin, and provided us with coffee/treats at the nearby coffee shop. We were very pleased with the level of customer service. Our group of friends celebrated our annual winter ski trip at Peterson Acres this year, after outgrowing the cabin we've enjoyed for 5 previous years. This cabin is very comfortable, with a lovely view of the surrounding areas. It was well supplied with everything we needed for a cozy, relaxing weekend.

The location of the property was exceptional. We were close enough to our primary destination yet far enough away to give the family some privacy. The staff was helpful in that when asked to manage an issue it was dealt with immediately. However, the overall appearance and condition of the property was less than desirable. Two of the blinds were not functioning at all, there simply is not enough storage space for clothing and other personal items, most of the furniture was in poor condition, the differences in temperatures in the three levels was often extreme making some uncomfortable while other members of the family on a different floor were satisfied, and the outer deck was in tremendous need of refinishing and repair. Additionally, a single television in the basement was not sufficient for our needs. There was no television on the 2nd level where most of the family met every day and devoted most of their time. The value for the unit was certainly not commensurate with the money spent.

Thank you for your input. It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy your stay. While I would not, in anyway, dispute your feelings, I think that the many people who stay here and have enjoyed it over the years, paint a different picture of this beautiful home. We are however, very interested in hearing any and all constructive input so that we can share with the owner of the home to improve the guest experience in anyway possible, so we thank you for your comments. The TV is in fact not the focus of this families home and that is clear when looking at the pictures of the home itself. There are empty dressers in each bedroom as well as closets that are mostly empty (blankets and linens might be on a shelf) so that guests have full access. The living room sofa is just a couple years old and the basement furniture is cozy yet has been used. We will be replacing the blinds and adding free standing heat to the basement to aid in any temperature variance as basements can be cooler. The top floor of course will become the warmest as heat rises but the windows are all able to open and have fans, so with new heaters in the basement I think that would help with stabilizing any further heating concerns (this has not been an issue as we have had this home in our rental family for about 8 years) and we have someone scheduled to replace the portion of the deck landing but the cabin has been too booked to complete and we need a window to get in and do that part. The work is cosmetic and not a safety issue so it will be done once school starts up and we can get in so do the work. Again, we do very much appreciate your feedback and will continue to act upon the comments shared with us by our guests, it may not always be nice to hear, but does allow us to see things through the eyes of others and we value that and so do the owners we manage for.

Couldn’t get a even tempature, either freezing for sweating hot, killed 50 plus pine bettles and had a shelve with plates break at midnight one night just to call and have them tell me it’s a on going problem, I have littles and would have been upset if it would have happened when they were in the kitchen, stayed for 4 nights and all the closets and pantries were locked so couldn’t put my stuff away. House looked bigger in photos.

The cabin was very clean and comfy. There were a total of 10 of us including 5 little ones. We didn’t feel over crowded and everyone had a room. The first morning our WiFi went out and the coffee maker was not working. I’m a big coffee drinker, I emailed and within 10 minutes, someone was at the cabin with a new coffee maker and she stayed til the WiFi was working!

So pleased that you enjoyed your stay and felt comfortable and spacious. I am sorry that you had the issues with the coffee pot and the wifi, but so happy that getting things fixed quickly worked out for you, that is always our desire, to get things right when they fail, we try!!! Please be sure and come back some time, we have so many places to choose from and so many different options to enjoy when you have bigger or smaller groups.

The location is fantastic - it's very, very close to Plain, near Lake Wenatchee and about 25 minutes from Leavenworth and 40ish from Stevens Pass. The home itself has a great location for a group and was very kid friendly (I have a 1 year old). The wrap-around deck was ideal for chasing the shade in the hot sun. Our dog loved the big open prairie yard. The kitchen was well-stocked and even had a waffle iron and food processor and a few spices/seasonings. The decor was tasteful. The main floor and loft/master bedroom were put together very nicely, though it seemed like some of the finishing work on the basement (trim, etc.) was still on the to do list. Overall, it was perfect for a group and we loved the property!

Great property. We had a great stay. House was clean, great shape and some amenities we never thought of (heated tile floors and speaker system was a major plus for sure). Beautiful view of the rolling hills. We had plenty of room to spread out, have our own spaces, yet all still be together comfortably in the common areas. Only down side - hot tub was not private...meaning, although no "near" neighbors, we still felt out in the open because there was no privacy walls or shelter for the hot tub, but because we were on vacation, it still didn't stop us from enjoying it.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, we hope to see you again. It is always interested to hear so many points of view on topics (such as the uncovered tubs vs covered ones) and we are always wondering about how to find ways to touch on all of those points of view and still stay true to an owners personal preference. Many people love the idea of the starry nights, and being in a warm hot tub with a light rain or snowfall happening, others feel the opposite. The good thing is that we do have many options and depending on the importance of a particular point of view, there are other properties to choose from to meet a certain need or requirement, if that would be meaningful to you. I am of the 'covered' thought process and my husband likes the 'uncovered' version, but I ask you, who do you think won that particular battle. LOL Happy tubbing and we hope to have you back again.

The main floor and loft/master bedroom were put together very nicely, though it seemed like some of the finishing work on the basement (trim, etc.) was still on the to do list. Overall, it was perfect for a group and we loved the property!

Loved this house! Large,clean,beautiful! Accommodated our group of 8 adults, 1 teen, an infant and 2 toddlers very well. Hill in the yard for sledding so we never had to leave! We would definitely stay here again. Only recommendation would be to provide baby gates that fit the stairs, two were at the house but they were only long enough for the top of the stairwell going down stairs from the main floor.

We enjoyed our stay but disappointed the hot tube was not working. We found out about the hot tub problem two days before our departure, so there was no time to make a change. Comfy Cabins plans to refund 10 percent of our fee for this reason, and we agree this is fair, The hot tub was a primary consideration when selecting the place. Also, the TV was not working. It appears a cable was missing along with an Xbox. We didn't miss using the Xbox, but would have like some TV. Wi-Fi was also not working but we were able to resolve during the first evening with the owners help. The house was very clean, comfortable, plenty of room, nice porch with plenty of outside chairs. We especially enjoyed the night star gazing. The young ones enjoyed the swing set and had fun playing in the front yard. I would also like to note that there are multiple check out instructions, and each one is somewhat different, causing a little confusion. One was posted on the refrigerator, one in the "guest book", and another which was emailed to us. Overall, we had a very good time, and would come back again.

We had a very nice family experience with three of our children and their spouses, including one grand daughter. We chose this property for its size, location in regards to entertainment and recreation and our good past experiences with the Comfy Cabin folks. With the hot weather, the indoor air conditioning was such a comfort to retreat to after spending time out of doors. We also enjoyed using the hot tub to soothe our aches and relax in. We found the kitchen to be ample for our extended family and differing needs and found all the utensils, pots and pans, dishes and cleaning supplies that were necessary. We also made daily use of the propane grill out on the porch. We all love to grill. Having a group the size of ours, it was nice to have three bathrooms available in the evening and especially in the morning when getting up to start the day.
We would certainly recommend this property to friends.

We had a very nice family experience with three of our children and their spouses, including one grand daughter. It was a great place to stay! Beautiful home and views. The only thing I will say is that inside, there seemed to be a fly infestation. There were probably 50 flies in the living area that were rather bothersome, along with a pretty significant bee problem outside. There are several bee nests under the eaves of the house, we could not eat outside at all. Other than that, we loved it!

There were probably 50 flies in the living area that were rather bothersome, along with a pretty significant bee problem outside. The house could have used a slightly better dish brush and there were no advertised horseshoes...but those are really silly minor complaints. Overall it was a FANTASTIC stay.

Awesome cabin to spend a little getaway with friends! Every winter we rent a cabin for a weekend in the Wenatchee/Leavenworth area and this cabin fit us perfectly! There was so much room for us and the kitchen was nice and open so we could all be together. Has a nice cozy fireplace, and has heated floors!! We were obsessed with the heated floors! We had a wonderful time at the Peterson Acres Cabin. The home was very well equipped, plenty of room for 3 couples and the Heated Floors were amazing! We were pleansantly surprised by the size of the Hottub, all the gadgets and utensils available to us in the Kitchen, and the views from this home were great. I would rent here again!

We had a great time the only negative was the dishwasher was broken. All in all the place was great despite some dishpan hands. We were so impressed with the man who came out and plowed the road and driveway for us. It was a very nice surprise!

The cabin was very nice. The reason I won't book this cabin again is the sulfur in the water and not having a TV in the main room. The pictures were a little deceptive. I was expecting a larger house. I did get a little confused with having to turn on the water and we did lose power and have to flip a switch. But we all thought the house was beautiful and comfortable!

The only disappointment was the condition of the home. It's a beautiful home but it was obvious its under construction. There were tools and construction items out in the open (not safe for kids), wood flooring (in a stack)along a living room wall in the downstairs. One bedroom closet had a bid tool case in it and another bedroom closet had a T.V. etc in it. Our luggage had to either be put ontop the tool kit or on the bedroom floor. Underneath the upstairs couch was dirty, like it hadn't been swept in a long time. I only noticed because I was on the floor playing with my baby and saw underneath. Not sure if normal, but the water to the hot tub was a green color and VERY strong with chlorine. Some people were very itchy even after showering. Overall, we did enjoy ourselves very much 🙂
